  1. I’m really glad somebody listed this book in their top 6 so that it made it onto our latest list, because I really liked it. The characters are great, very rounded and realistic. The book is written in first person, but alternating between the viewpoints of three different people, each one having their own unique voice. You can see the funny, vulnerable, and strong sides of each of them. I think I might have put this one in my own top 6 if I had read it a bit earlier!

  2. I did not like this book. Every character is a different stereotype, and they are never expanded on. There is also no coherent plot, and the the ending was just plain awful. I also never really connected with the characters. I felt this book was cliched in the extreme and I will not vote for this book for the Newbery award.

  3. I disagree. The only character I felt was the slightest bit stereotypical was Bree at the very beginning. I thought the plot was unique and the ending made perfect sense for this book. I only hated it because I did not want the book to end. I was able to connect with these characters and, as I said before, I wanted the book to keep going. If I had read the book earlier, I definitely would have voted for it for my top 6.

  4. I really liked this book. I loved how the author gave three different points of view and the story was very unique. I do agree that the book should have kept going and if there ever is a sequel, I think it would be very interesting to see what happens to the three main characters. But I have to say I think this book is more for girls than boys. If enough people read and like this book, I believe it could win the Newbery award or at least come close.

  5. I love this book my fav charecter was Bree. i wish she was real. I didn’t li8ke jack but I liked Ryan the is a plus.:D
