  1. This book reminded me of the movie Men in Black – lots of icky alien creatures, wisecracking, and cartoonish action/violence. It could be popular with upper elementary and middle school boys, but does not seem to have many Newbery-like qualities to me.

  2. In our first Top 3 Vote this year, this comment was made:
“Fun, fast-paced, always keeps you interested. Funny writing style. You learn to love the characters.”

  3. This was a great book, but it was more of a fun read than a Newbery winner. It had a bit of a cliff-hanger at the end.

  4. I enjoyed reading this book, but there was nothing spacial about it. The writing style was only okay and the plot was predictable…..and the characters were stereotypical. So, while I did enjoy this book it is not original and not a Newbery winner.
