Scrub is sent off by his busy, career-obsessed parents to spend the summer at his grandmother’s weird, 60’s-style bed and breakfast in Nowhere, Washington. Once there, he discovers that it really hosts visiting aliens from other planets that want to vacation on Earth. Grandma employs him to help disguise the aliens and to avoid the snooping sheriff that wants to close the B&B. But he has to balance his grandmother’s need for secrecy with his need to spend time with people his own age, particularly the intelligent but perhaps-too-curious Amy. Will he succeed? Read the book to find out. It’s quite funny and a light read.
