  1. Comment from Kayla:
Watch the Sky was a spectacular novel. The setting was very descriptive and you could see how the superstitions/beliefs shaped each character’s life style. The uncle believed in caution which isolated their family and made the plot extremely exciting. The uncle could’ve had more of a back story to his superstitions. However, since he was just one-sided, the characters were a con. This book could be a contender for Newbery yet I think this book is not as distinguished compared to others I’ve read. I would recommend this to sixth grade.
