Summary:  Three students, Mel, Bev, and Brandon, left behind at their prestigious school during Christmas break, find themselves in 1776 New Jersey with General George Washington dead at their feet, and twelve-year-old Mel must find a way, using his iPhone, to set things right.

  1. This book was ok and not really a favorite. It was a little to much about history and stuff like that but the plot was very confusing. The setting was probably the best part about the book. Overall I don’t think this book was the greatest and is not a newbery winner.

  2. I agree with Kai, it was a fun read but I don’t think it’s a Newbery. I did enjoy the stuff about the solider’s reactions, but to me that was really the only awesome part. So overall I liked it, but it’s not my pick for a Newbery winner.
