  1. Comment from Kayla:
The Truth about Twinkie Pie would make a fun read for girls. The characters and plot were my favorite part of the book. All of the characters were realistic, and I could easily relate to all of them. The plot always had a new twist waiting for you, which kept you interested throughout the entire book. The plot portrayed how confusing and dramatic life is. I feel like the theme, writing style, and setting should be more distinguished in order to win the Newbery. Also, this book seemed like a book that only girls would relate to and read. I would recommend this book to seventh grade girls.
