  1. Game Over, Pete Watson is a really funny book, from the storyline to the pictures and beyond. As the summary under the title above says, Pete has to rescue his dad, and technically the world, which may sound like a typical superhero story, but the way the author has the book organized makes it more than a regular book, and the kind that would appeal to both boys and girls. The humor adds even more to the plot , and that is another part I enjoyed when reading it. Also, I got some pretty good jokes out of it that I told my friends!

I enjoyed this book but I do not think it is Newbery material, even if it was well-written and hilarious.
