Seven Tales of Trinket, by Shelley Moore Thomas

Summary:  Guided by a tattered map, accompanied by Thomas the Pig Boy, and inspired by the storyteller’s blood that thrums through her veins, Trinket searches for the seven stories she needs to become a bard like her father, who disappeared years before. 1. I enjoyed reading this book and all the tales in it were interesting. There was a unique plot, lots of character developement and i liked the songs at the beginning of each tale. It could win the newbery, but it is not in my top three.

  2. Yes, the plot was nice, character development showed, but the writing style couldn’t connect the dots. I would probably vote it for the Newbery if there were no other better books, but I know at least seven that should get it.
