Summer of the Gypsy Moths, by Sara Pennypacker

Summary:  Stella loves living with Great-aunt Louise in her big old house near the water on Cape Cod for many reasons, so while Mom “finds herself,” Stella fantasizes that someday she’ll come back to the Cape and settle down. Angel, the foster kid Louise has taken in, is tough and prickly, and the girls hardly speak to each other. But over the course of the summer they discover the one thing they do have in common: dreams of finally belonging to a real family.

  1. Thjis book was funny and entertaining. The plot was intruiging and suspenseful. I liked how the characters had to deal with real problems. I wished we could have connected more with Angel and Stella. The authourdidn’t really explain their feelings completly.

  2. I disagree, it think that the author did show their feelings. I think that it has really good character developement in it and i really connected to Stella. The plot was definitely unique. This is now one of the best i’ve read this year.
