  1. I loved this book! I don’t think it could win the Newbery… but definitly a honor! It was so realistic and made you feel like you were Ivy June waiting for her grandpa to come out of the mine. I loved how the ending kept you thinking. It makes you think a sequel is on the way (I hope it is!). This book is very good and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
