  1. This book is the second in a series. The events in the previous book were mentioned, but they weren’t really explained, and some parts of the book were confusing, since they had been explained in the first book. The ending of it was just too open ended, and the story overall wasn’t that great.

  2. I enjoyed the first book , but why is this book under not a Newbery? Was it too much related to the First?

    • Cassidy, in our last meeting it was discussed how this book was not complete by itself. But if you see that differently, please present your opinions Friday. We could bring it back if you can convince us it should win.
