Well, I think this book is well written and has defined characters, but the author didn’t have as strong of an ending as I would of like; I will decide if this book should be a Newbery after I read some of my other books to compare them to each other.
This book was well written and its plot shaped out nicely in the end. The author evidently knew a lot about baseball and did good research. The characters were well defined and I think this book has a chance to be a Newbery winner.
The plot was nicely done, and had a great ending. Jack and his friends and the parents were all good, relatable characters. I wished that at the end Jack was nicer to all the kids he called ‘losers’ or ‘nerds’ or ‘gamers’. I guess that would be too perfect. I really liked how the author put in the Malfoy backstory
Benjamin, I agree with you in the fact that this book could be a Newbery winner.
The book had many twists and turns, and I always liked the parts with Billee. He was such a nutcase! He reminds me of myself…
