I don’t think this could win. It is definitely for younger kids. It was fun to read though. The plot seemed too simple.
I have to agree with Mikala about this book. The plot was very simplistic and though amusing it was not as mature writing I would had liked. I felt the story was pretty flat and did not have much depth. I would recommend this book for late elementary and middle school girls. Though this book supplies some interesting Ideas I am not sure I would vote it for Newbery.
I agree that it had a simple plot but it might be a winner for younger kids.
