I am not the biggest fan of this book. The plot was all right and even unique. I did not really find a connection with Maks and Willa(the main characters). The plot and characters developed and the scene was well discribed, but I was not drawn into the book. This book is not a Newbery winner because I felt the author failed to connect with the reader.
