  1. This is a book for middle schoolers beacause of some scary moments. The story drew me in and I felt like I was part of the story. It surprised me sometimes and I was never sure of what came next. The story did not wander off and it was written concisely. So far this is my favorite book of our list.

  2. Just to be clear I LOVE this book. I personally think that this could be a Newbery book so keep it on the list!

  3. I enjoyed this book thoroughly and i thought that it was the best that i have read so far and i would not take it off. saying that i have read only 5 books so far but still! This book was good because unlike in the Beyonders which was the other book i read the author used just the right amount of twists to keep you reading. And he keeps it realistic. If you happen to be on the other side of a bridge that has been cut off then you probably will be shot at. I like the realism he used and he showed that no matter who you are even if you are the “chosen three” you can seriously get hurt. Over all POSITIVE

  4. I didn’t especially like it. It was pretty boring and was basically the same
as other fantasy books. MOst of the time it was predictable and it was
written like it wasn’t supposed to be predictable. Some parts were funny,
    though.
