    Don’t forget that the Newbery Award is for books written for kids up to age 14. That includes picture books. Just “pay no attention to the pictures on the page” and see what this story does for ya’!!

    This is definately not a Newbery award winner. It has no character development and very little descriptions. The pictures were nice though!

    I think that this is too complicated for the age that it is aimed at. It has long, difficult words and a story line that only makes sense if you understand the history of the book.
